Wilma Lorene Bernhard, 79, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:00 A.M., Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Lorene was a homemaker and had worked as a welder at P.R. Mallory Co. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She was born September 14, 1925 at Thompsonville, IL the daughter of Roman and Hazel (Hall) Waller.
She married Bill T. Bernhard on March 20, 1948 at Peoria, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, daughter- Tennia Kilmer and husband Mike of Du Quoin, son- Floyd Waller and wife Peggy Jean of Du Quoin, three sisters- Wanda Preston of Bradley, Mary Kuhnert of Tamaroa and Martha Dean of Du Quoin, 3 brothers- James Waller of Du Quoin, Tom Waller of Du Quoin and Bill Waller of Woodlawn, three grandchildren- Angelina Cooper, Candace Waller and April Waller, six great grandchildren- Kory Cooper, Brettan Cooper, Derek Cooper, Preston Green, Parker Berry and Marcie Dunmeyer, two step grandchildren- Lisa & Kevin Lowery and Steven and Shelia Pierce, four step great grandchildren- Erick and Danara Lowery and Cody and Kendra Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters- Roma Struck and Maxine Cutwright and one brother- Kenneth Waller.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Jerry Whittington officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 P.M. Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment will be in the Zeigler Cemetery at Zeigler.
